City of Green seeks Dog Park Ambassadors to volunteer weekly at the Green Dog Park

Visit the Green dog park often? This volunteer opportunity is perfect for you and your dog too! The City of Green is looking for Dog Park Ambassador volunteers to commit to visiting the dog park once a week at their leisure.  Dog Park Ambassador volunteers are to walk the dog park, pick up any litter or waste and notify the City of anything that needs maintenance.

“We are looking to our frequent visitors to the dog park to lend a hand to ensure that our dog park stays clean and well-maintained,” said Valerie Wolford, communications manager.

The Green Dog Park at Ariss Park, 2520 Wise Road, is located on 1.87-acres of land and features large and small dog areas, benches, and water fountains for owners and their pets. The dog park is open sunrise to sunset daily. Volunteers are needed to help protect this property by removing trash, litter, and debris, and identifying maintenance items.

Adults and older children accompanied by their parents are welcome to volunteer. City of Green asks Dog Park Ambassadors to report any findings within the Green Dog Park which are amiss. This volunteer program is an ongoing position with shift times based on your availability. Register online at www.cityofgreen.org/volunteer
